In 2024, our organization carried out a project titled “Designing and Offering Meaningful Help to the Survivors of Wartime Rape on the Territory of Poland.” One of its components was the creation of a comparative study on international standards for supporting survivors of sexual violence in armed conflict and how these standards are implemented in Poland.

The author of the study is Dr. Katarzyna Czeszejko-Sochacka from the University of Rzeszów. We appreciate her collaboration.

For the convenience of readers, the study has been divided into four parts, which we will be publishing successively.

Thanks to the grant, we were able to create visual materials, including posters, business cards, and a roll-up banner for the organization.

The Mario Project also made it possible to provide year-round support to two survivors from Ukraine living in Poland and to train aid personnel from interested non-governmental organizations in Poland, as well as Border Guards at the training center in Lubań.

We extend our gratitude to the grant providers!
