szkolenie info

On October 25, 2024, representatives from the Mazovian Branch of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption in Warsaw, the Polish National Police Headquarters, and the Internal Security Agency participated in training on the methodology of conducting interviews with survivors of torture and wartime rape. The training was led by Dr. Wiola Rebecka and Izabela Trybus, psychotraumatologists from the Polish Center for Torture Survivors.

The topic of the training was wartime trauma, trauma related to wartime rape and torture, and its impact on witnesses and victims. We would like to thank the participants, the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights, and the Coalition for Victims, Survivors, and Witnesses.

Participants had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge about the trauma related to torture and wartime rape, its impact on memory, and the ability of witnesses and victims to testify. They also learned self-regulation techniques aimed at maintaining psychological resilience in emotionally challenging situations.
