About us

Experts first

We are a group of experts building a comprehensive support network for people who have experienced conflict-related sexual violence and are seeking help in Poland.
We believe that trauma-informed work combined with an interdisciplinary approach — psychological, medical, legal and social support — can provide safe and meaningful assistance to survivors. This kind of support can help address the long-term consequences of complex trauma and its intergenerational effects. The initiative was founded by Wiola Rebecka, a psychoanalyst working with survivors of wartime sexual violence and the author of the book Rape: A History of Shame. Diary of the Survivors.
