The Polish Center for Torture Survivors is implementing a project funded by a grant from FemFund*. As part of the project, we offer art and movement classes, as well as support for mother–child relationships. Psychotraumatological care is provided during all activities.
The target group includes refugee and forcibly displaced women with experiences of violence.
* The Feminist Fund (FemFund) was established in 2018. At the time, Poland was governed by the far right, and systematic attacks on the rights of women and other marginalized groups were taking place. It was also a time of incredible feminist awakening – just months earlier, hundreds of thousands of women and allies had taken to the streets of cities and towns across Poland to protest government attempts to introduce a total abortion ban. Magda, Justyna, and Marta – the Fund’s founders – were part of that movement. We knew each other through work and activism, and we were united by the desire to support feminist groups and movements in Poland on the basis of partnership. More: https://femfund.pl
